- A Revolutionary Battery-Free Photosensor Inspired by the Human Retina
Scientists at Pennsylvania State University have developed a groundbreaking photodetector design inspired by the human retina. Unlike traditional sensors, this new configuration mimics the cone cells in the retina, allowing for separate detection of red, green, and blue colors without the need for color filters or digital mosaicing. By utilizing narrowband perovskite films in an asymmetric p-i-n junction, the photodetectors achieve high spatial resolution and reduce manufacturing costs. Additionally, a three-layer neuromorphic network utilizing machine learning reconstructs the image, resulting in efficient noise reduction and high-quality images. The implications include potential applications in battery-free cameras and artificial retinas for individuals with vision loss.
Github repositories
- seruva19/kubin
Kubin is a web-based graphical user interface (GUI) designed for Kandinsky 2.1, although it is currently a work in progress and not suitable for production use. The roadmap for Kubin includes various features such as text-to-image conversion, image manipulation, support for extensions, fine-tuning tools, and integration with Diffusers. While screenshots are available, they may be outdated. Kubin offers advanced features like segmentation and interrogation, with plans to include additional schedulers, animation, LoRA, ControlNet, and documentation in the future. The project also provides Google Colab integration and notebook examples for Paperspace and Kaggle. Further information can be found in the project's Wiki.
- makeplane/plane
Plane is an open-source, self-hosted project planning tool designed for software development. It allows you to manage issues, sprints, and product roadmaps with ease. Although still in its early stages, Plane offers features like issue planning and tracking, issue attachments, customizable layouts, cycles for sprint planning, modules for breaking down projects, custom views and filters, AI-powered notepad pages, and GitHub issue synchronization.
