  Background Music is a macOS audio utility that offers several features. It can automatically pause your music player when another audio source is playing and resume playback when the second source stops. The utility also provides per-application volume control, allowing you to boost the volume of quiet applications. Additionally, Background Music enables you to record system audio using QuickTime Player. It supports various music players like iTunes, Spotify, VLC, and more. The utility doesn't require a restart to install and is available for download on macOS 10.10+. Note that Background Music is still in alpha.
